Brad Carney, Esq. is a partner at the firm of Maraziti Falcon, L.L.P., located in Short Hills, New Jersey, where he advises and represents public sector clients in the areas of qualified opportunity funds, redevelopment, resiliency, municipal, and construction law. Mr. Carney represents various municipalities in the negotiation of redevelopment agreements and defends challenges to redevelopment plans, redevelopment area designations, and the acquisition of industrial and commercial properties necessary for mixed use redevelopment projects. He also represents municipal county utilities authorities and sewerage authorities on issues relating to the public water supply and solid waste flow control, sewerage infrastructure construction disputes, connection fees and sewer user fees, respectively. Mr. Carney represents a variety of clients in connection with Green Acres diversion matters, including the disposal and replacement of funded and unfunded parkland necessary for public purposes. Mr. Carney is an experienced litigator representing the firm’s clients in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies.
Mr. Carney is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Carney is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Environmental Law and Construction Law Sections.
Mr. Carney received his B.A. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and his J.D., cum laude, from New England School of Law, where he also served as the Production Managing Editor for the New England Law Review.
